This project involved the demolition of the existing foyer and an internal refresh of the ground floor level.
A recent visit with my daughter to this space brought back memories of a project I contributed to during my time at LIMINAL.
We were asked to design a multipurpose foyer that would feel open and welcoming to all. We reinstated the original staircase as a key feature and introduced a fully accessible entrance. The new flooring echoes the colour of the original damaged tiles that we uncovered hidden for years beneath layers of vinyl and carpet.
The space feels more expansive and versatile thanks to the ceiling design, while the Allport pre-room gently prepares visitors for the other world they are about to enter.
